One Marriage Under God: Indivisible- 50 Devotions by Robert Noland

I recently read the indivisible novel and fell in love with the story! I cannot wait to see the movie as it releases the day before my birthday on DVD. The story of a military chaplain and his little family really touches home for me since my husband is currently undertaking his bachelor's in Theology and pastoral Ministry to become a chaplain as he's already in the military. Their story why is inspiring and touching. When I got the opportunity to check out the devotional oh, I was all over it! Book look bloggers offered me a free copy in exchange for my honest review about it, and here it is!

In the introduction you are encouraged to decide to commit to the book for the 50 days, putting aside intentional and I'm distracted time to focus on your marriage. Pick a time and place that's great for both of you and a place that is comfortable and away from distractions. Read it together and carefully and create a connection but most of all, pray, pray for each other and together! Just that in itself, told me but this is the real deal!

Each day is divided with a verse, an inspirational message and a connection creating discussion as well as a few questions that bring you more in depth, along with an inspirational thought to tie it all together. Each one of the 50 days has a different theme, to bring you closer together and work hard on your marriage. The book also has a lovely ribbon bookmark to keep your spot, so in the hustle and bustle of everyday life oh, you can remember where you are and pick up where you left off.

I look forward to going through this devotional with my husband. The cover is beautiful and is hard covered. It already has crayon marks on it as one of our little ones took it upon herself to "write mama's name" on her new book!  I would definitely recommend it to all couples, especially military ones!

Indivisible by Travis Thrasher

Indivisible by Travis Thrasher is the novelization of the motion picture by David G Evans. It also includes a forward by Darren and Heather Turner, as well as discussion questions and a personal message from the producers of the movie.

Indivisible, one marriage, one family, under God. It is the story of Darren and Heather Turner, as Darren joins the military and becomes a chaplain. We go through his first appointment with him and his family. Heather is home with their three children, she is involved with many organizations with other military wives as well as homeschooling the children. We see them go through pre deployment readiness, an 18 month deployment to Iraq and post-deployment struggles and reintegration. It is quite real and Vivid and very well written.

This book was quite real for me, as my husband is currently in the military and in the process of studying for his bachelor's of Theology and pastoral Ministry in order to become a chaplain himself. We currently have three children and are expecting our fourth, which I homeschool as well. And to make it even more real, two of our children share names with the Turner's children's! This story could be ours in a few years. I really enjoyed reading it, I did shed many tears as I got through the chapters, which could be attributed to my pregnancy hormones, but none the less, it is a very touching story. To see the struggles on both sides of a deployment it's something that's not commonly talked about. And to weave in faith and trust in God throughout the whole story was just fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and look forward very much to seeing the movie adaptation.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone joining the military and foreseeing and deployment, especially if joining chaplaincy. It was a real eye-opener. I did receive this copy of this book for free, from booklook blockers, and exchange for my true and honest review.

365 Devotions for a Thankful Heart by Zondervan Gift Books

The 365 Devotions for a Thankful Heart by Zondervan Gift Books is an remarkably well designed devotional. The beautiful flowers and coral coloring embellishes the easy to read and enjoy font. Each devotion, page is marked by date, so you can start using it any day of the year.

Each page begins with some scripture, followed by a lovely, encouraging and well written reminder of all of God's provision and things we should be thankful for. All devotions finish off with a short prayer, reflecting the scripture verse and message. They are easy to read, not too long but just enough to help you center yourself and find the thankfulness in your heart. The book itself is small and would fit nicely in a purse or bag for on the go reading or would pair well with your morning coffee or tea!

I would recommend this devotional to all the busy people! It's simple to keep track of where you are at, and only takes 5 minutes of your day and will focus focus your heart on thankfulness. A great stocking stuffer idea or simple birthday gift.

I received this book for free, from Book Look Bloggers, in exchange for my honest, unbiased opinion.

Night Night Sleepy Town by Amy Parker

Night Night Sleepy Town written by Amy Parker and illustrated by Virginia Allyn and a delightful bedtime board book! A cozy trip through a beautifully illustrated town, bringing you all the way to bed. This children's story is nice and is the perfect length to read and be interactive with your little one before going Night Night themselves.

All three of my children enjoy it. The six year old is captivated by the details in the illustrations, "Did you see that mom? Did you see this?" and soon enough, he will be the one reading it to me. The three, almost four year old is captivated by the melodic rhymes and rhythm of the words to the story and last but not least, the two year old is fascinated with the colors and illustrations and obsessed with turning the page to say Night Night again! This book will definitely please more than one age group!

I would totally recommend this book to other families who enjoy bedtime stories. I'm not particularly fond of long dragged out stories before bed, I like them short and sweet, and this one fits the bill perfectly. I also enjoy the fact that it is a board book, the added resiliency is a must for little hands that like turning pages.

You can stay home with your kids! By Erin Odom

I was very excited to receive my copy of you can stay home with your kids! By Erin Odum. It's a book I had seen and heard of on social media platforms, and as a stay-at-home mom of 3, I was ecstatic to finally read through it! This small hardcover book, with ribbon bookmark fits perfectly in a diaper bag or purse so that you can take with you and read on the go, because with three kiddos, I surely don't have time to sit and read! I enjoyed the layout and design of the book , as it is separated in neat little chapters, with colorful pages and beautiful designs.

The overall content of the book is great! There are amazing suggestions and ideas. Many that may seem unheard-of or uncommon but are totally worth trying out. All it takes is little tweaks here and there to make it possible to stay home with your kids. Erin Odom, also known as the humbled homemaker, has great advice and tips in this book. My only disappointment is that I already practice most of these or have in the past. I was hoping for new tips and ideas. Although the suggestions and this book would surely help someone who isn't already doing them already!

I will definitely recommend this book to all new moms who are wanting to stay home and just can't figure out how to afford it. It'll definitely become a baby shower staple!

I received my copy of this book for free and exchanged for an honest review about it. See... That's one of the ways that I'm able to indulge in my love of books in a way that does not cost me anything! There's a tip from the book right there! Thank you book look bloggers!
